MEBCI is proud to be able to sponsor an opportunity for Bergen County music teachers to come together, make a band, and participate in a peer-led professional development experience!
Sessions will run from 7:00-8:30pm on the dates posted in the flyer.
The “Workshop Band” will play repertoire brought by the participants (of various grade levels) and each session will have different volunteer participants conduct. Participants can play a secondary or tertiary instrument, or if you want to brush up on a “dusty” primary, that’s fine too. Choir/Orchestra directors who want to play in a band and want to learn more about band instrumental techniques are also welcome to participate. Instrumental techniques will be discussed in these workshops, as well as peer-led maintenance/repair tips and tricks.
Please see the attached flyer and fill out the Google form if you are interested in participating. Link to google form (there is also same link embedded in the flyer)
There is no additional fee to participate, all you need to do is pay the membership fee for MEBCI. If you are sponsoring students for the festival auditions, you can pay your membership fee with your audition applications. If you are not sponsoring students, you can pay the $10.00 membership fee at the first session you attend.
Thank you to Collette Mather for leading this initiative and for hosting at Brookside School (Allendale, NJ)!
